Cookie Making Class

The young adults wanted to learn to make cookies. After agreeing to the class we found that the oven at the church doesn't work. We don't have one at the center, actually we bought a toaster oven today, but yesterday there was nothing we could use, so we baked cookies at home and then took the ingredients to make more to the center and we all mixed up more dough and then the young adults got to eat the ones from our oven! Brown sugar is much different over here, but fortunately the couple we replaced found a store that sells some that is similar to what we use in The States.

You are such good sports and up to every challenge. Some of the best memories can be those where we have to improvise. What kind of cookies did you make?

Have you tried mixing 2 tablespoons of molasses with 1 cup of white sugar. I've used that as a substitute for brown sugar before.

I'm Jake's aunt and when I talked to Deanna the other day I asked her if you would be doing a blog again. I love hearing about these different foreign countries. Thanks for sharing.
